Throughout the Bible the names of both people and places carry great significance. A name is used to capture an identity and can often speak of one's unique purpose and calling. The name of our church has been carefully chosen in response to what we believe God is calling us to embody as a community.

An echo is a sound that is repeated or reverberated. This name looks to capture our belief that what God is doing in the lives of the people of our church will echo beyond us into our families, relationships, workplaces and communities. It also embodies our belief that everyone finds their true purpose and identity in a relationship with Jesus Christ. We see our church as a place where people will find Jesus and experience transformation so that they can be their own unique echo of God's grace to the world around them.

This name is a marker both for who we are now and who we are increasingly becoming. We believe that it is God's desire that his church would be a great echo of who he is to all those around and we look forward to growing into this identity together.

Echo Church - Resounding Jesus.

'Do you know that all over the provinces of both Macedonia and Achaia believers look up to you? The word has gotten around. Your lives are echoing the Master's Word, not only in the provinces but all over the place. The news of your faith in God is out. We don't event have to say anything anymore - you're the message!' - 1 Thessalonians 5:8 MSG
